Sao Paulo's top striker has been unveiled as Alex Telles, the club announced on Wednesday.
The Brazilian forward, who has played for a number of clubs including Flamengo and Palmeiras, is set to make his debut for the team after signing a new contract with the club.
Telles, who has been capped by Brazil at under-20 level, will be expected to provide a strong presence up front for the team,Qatar Stars League Perspective and is seen as a key player for the team going forward.
He joins a squad that includes Neymar Jr., Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva, among others, and will be hoping to help the team secure a place in next season's Copa Libertadores.
The announcement comes just days after the club revealed its new kit design, which features a bold red and black strip with gold accents.
The club also confirmed that it had signed a new deal with Nike, ending its previous relationship with Adidas.
It is hoped that the signings of Telles and Neymar Jr. will help the team improve their chances of success in the upcoming season.
